Fireside Chat Transcript 2025 07 19
Asher Elias:
We're getting high quality claps. Look at that. I'm a loud clapper. Is anyone here a loud clapper? The Hulk has a power where he can clap his hands and make a sonic boom? I'm not quite there, but I am a loud clapper. No, we're not talking about making that ass clap. That's something different. I don't have the clap. Goodness. Can't take you guys anywhere. Do you like to lead by example or by story? Both. That's why I was missing last week, I was getting injection of Mercury directly into the. Do you guys know about that? How they used to cure syphilis? Dude. Do you guys wanna hear a terrible story? Mute for the next 45 seconds if you're squeamish. If you're squeamish, just mute for the next 35 seconds. I promise you don't just mute next thirty- five seconds. So there was this guy called Samuel Peeps. His name looked like his PEPs, he was a journalist. He kept a diary in the 1600's and he is actually big source, from that period 'cause he kept an interesting diary and he was a wealthy guy in London. And he had, what are those is it kidney stones? We know where, those extremely painful things like kidney stones. And he had surgery in the 1600s to get rid of the kidney stones. And what they did was they tied him down, got him really drunk and sliced open his taint with no anesthesia and pulled out the kidney stones. To give you an idea of how efficacious this must have been. He had it again five years later, so it must have still been preferable. Yeah, back in the day they were having gout. You know what the solve, the way to solve this would be? More wine and lamb. Let's solve the gout that way. Super Rain. I'm sorry that, but you did just Debbie Downer us. I am sorry about your father though.
Snipereagle1:
And remember how nice it was when we had a break for a week from Asher doing the fireside.
Asher Elias:
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. I heard about temu Asher. Got power for 45 minutes and renamed our Keepstar. All right.
Snipereagle1:
No good deed goes unpunished.
Asher Elias:
Indeed, indeed. So what do you guys wanna talk about? What I want to talk about is lending bee, have you guys heard about that? The ratting demand has been incredible. We have seen huge uptake on beehive. Shout out to the beehive guys who've been running it almost 24/7 at this point. It's been, it's been crazy, but you guys have been out there in blops to defend it. You've been out there in, dreads to make money. It's been pretty crazy. And, I think the coolest thing that's been going on is beehive has been doing a lot of home defense too. I've seen you guys sitting in HAW dreads on gates with a cyno just being oh, you want to camp this gate? All right, I'm in a HAW dread. What do you wanna do now? And that has been most excellent. Appreciated. Thanks to you guys for doing that. And then beehive has been backing them up and defending them, so excellent job there. You would need to reapply if you're not getting the pings. Thanks. Beehive for 30 kill marks on my redeemer. That's pretty impressive. 30 kill marks. But yeah, it, the uptake has been huge on that.
Lending Bee. It's, a program where you can get some iskies for your toonie and it's particularly good, get yourself into your first dread. So if you're, if you're starting your isk making quest and this is the return to normalcy, then you can borrow money. Get a dread, make that money back, pay us back at a very modest interest rate, and then be just pull yourself up on the ladder of the, it's big steps in, in Eve, and that's one of the biggest steps. Lending Bee is a huge thing, so check that out if you are, looking to up your game, this is a good time to do it.
Shout out Dragon Fleet. I think most of them are probably asleep. I'm gonna link you guys a BR though.
https://br.evetools.org/related/30000631/202507161300
Snipereagle1:
Oh God. This is such a gnarly dunk.
Asher Elias:
Yeah. Yeah. They formed a 250 man fleet and, just absolutely styled on Horde. So shout out to them.
Snipereagle1:
And we killed the BR tool. Nice.
Asher Elias:
Yeah. Goon rushed. While we're goon rushing, x-up if some of you guys have been watching Sumo with me. Anyone enjoying Sumo? Nice. I be a lot of you coming to me who never watched Sumo before. There you go.
Lending Bee for a faction Titan. Not exactly. Yeah. Is doing crazy right now. Fat guys wrestling Sumo. Yeah. You need to watch it with us because that is the, once you watch it, you will realize that is not what it is. Malcolm making me blush there. Yeah, you gotta look at those legs, dude.
Speaking of making Isk, I wanna show you. Yeah. And I am into it, Yeah, if you, if you watch it, I, I am definitely into Sumo.
There's the Lending Bee from Beyond.
https://goonfleet.com/index.php/topic/336306-lendingbee-the-bank-of-goonswarm
Okay. So. Ratting upgrades are up. I don't know if you guys have been around, debted for instance. It's just all ratting gate, upgrades. In, Insmother, we'll talk about this a little later, but, we have mining upgrades, but in Detorid and other places, but especially Detorid, there are, ratting upgrades.
And here you go. Here's a thread.
You guys asked for my salvaging Ishtar that I made, back in the day to be updated and that is the updated one. So I would strongly recommend you guys run one of these Ishtars. And the reason is, is that you can run a 10MN fit, but it reps way less. This fit has three DDAs instead of four, and the fourth one is, it barely gets you any more dps. It's 30. It doesn't actually it doesn't make the site go any faster you. The amount of extra ISK a fourth DDA gets you is maybe a hundred thousand per tick. It, it's very minimal. This fit runs an extra large booster. It doesn't, it then doesn't rely on sig tanking, and there are four different fits in there. There's the first one with salvagers, then a high skill, a low skill, and there's also a tanky fit that you can run in forsaken hubs and have a scram on it. Also has an A DC. I think ADCs are super good because if someone ganks you in this fit and it's one ship, unless it's a blops, they probably can't kill you. Like a Scythe Fleet Issue is not gonna be able to kill you. They will easily kill a 10MN Ishtar. And so you could run just forsaken hubs with a scram and wait for someone to warp in, scram them and kill them with your ratting Ishtar and it'll tank forsaken hubs, no problem. You can also run that extremely tank you want, and it has an ADC, I said. So if a dread appears in havens, you can pop the ADC, which is something. And if you're me, I do not like to run, I don't like to pay a lot of attention to my ratting. This runs basically hard afk, I think these are just far superior fits to what we're running. I would encourage you to run them. And then the first one has salvagers on it. The other thing I want to talk about was, you want to drop an MTU even if you're, once again, I do not like all the high effort ratting stuff. I've been ratting for longer than most people have. But I have found that the people who ultra high effort it, they play for a year and then they disappear. I put an MTU down, and I've realized what you can do is you can just grab out the, let's say the top 10 mods. There's one mod that's worth 5 million in the rat poop, in the MTU, you can just grab the top 10 and it's 85, 90% of the value of everything in there. And you don't have to do the bookmark it and come back later. And you can get three sites of loot into your Ishtar, and then after the third site, you just warp over to the, Astra or whatever's in the system and just deposit it. The HIC module was worth 5 million. There were two of them. I think I did eight sites and I got a hundred million of loot with just extremely low effort, not bookmarking anything. And just doing it in my Ishtar and taking essentially no extra time. The only time I took out was every third site I would warp to the Astra, right click deposit, and then warp to the next anom. We're talking about 30 seconds more time, without having to do any bookmarks, any extra accounts, anything like that. You can do the Nereus if you want. I'm just saying I prefer it this way, but yeah, check those fits out.
We got maps going up there. Cool.
Okay. At the, we have the research going up online. There is your link there.
https://goonfleet.com/index.php/calendar/event/10699-c-j-t2-sotiyo-research-job-party/
Okay, at 2005, which is approximately 55 minutes from now, we will be opening the Weaslior T2 lab rig for research, and for one hour, a little less than one hour, you'll have essentially no tax before the index goes up. We've been going for a week and advertising this for actually two weeks now. But you want to start your, your full 10 research job, whatever it is. You want to do that, in about an hour. This is the best possible structure with a rig that doesn't exist. You can't buy this rig in Jita. No one has this rig. I think it's what, 250 billion, 300 billion ISK rig? Something like that. It's crazy. 500 billion. It's a 500 billion ISK rig. Okay, there you go. Literally no one else in the game offers this. And for one hour there will be a 0% tax as far as what CCP offers as 0%. This will be the best thing you can ever get in one hour. I imagine there will be a lot of Titan tens going in. This is also, some of you guys have asked me, oh, are we really staying in C-J? We would not be putting in a 500 billion ISK rig if we were not planning on staying.
Speaking of C-J next week, not, or sorry, not next week, tomorrow actually, the Tatara going online. There you go. It'll be a T2 reactions Tatara, which I had to ask, but is actually the best possible reactions you can do. That launches 2100 tomorrow. As far as I know, with that one, there is no time to put it in. I don't think that matters. I think it just, whenever you wanna react.
https://goonfleet.com/index.php/calendar/event/10705-c-j6-t2-reactions-launch-party/
I'll get to your questions pretty soon.
And, we have a couple more things to talk about. Kaz, do you have a GEZ thing you wanna link or, or talk about there? I know we have, capital, I know the Karmafleet pocket is online for capital production. We have Subcap.
Kazanir:
I have maps.
Asher Elias:
Okay.
Kazanir:
Standby.
https://evemaps.dotlan.net/map/Insmother/78-0R6,88A-RA,4M-QXK,8G-2FP,8-WYQZ,VGPT-T,KS-1TS#ihub
https://evemaps.dotlan.net/map/wicked_creek/MKIG-5,YHEN-G,384-IN,GPLB-C#ihub
Asher Elias:
It's a map. Look at this map.
Is super ratting allowed. Yeah, it is. When beehives up, you may super rat. No, no. Are we not? I'm sorry. Am I wrong there?
Snipereagle1:
Keep your fucking super carriers out of anoms. Run crab beacons.
Asher Elias:
Oh, oh, oh. He wants to put 'em in anom.
Kazanir:
That is what people sometimes mean.
Asher Elias:
What dude? Why would you want, why would you want to do that? Are you crazy? No, put, put it on a Beacon. So those two, it's so bad to do anoms. You can get trapped super easy. Yeah. Sorry, I don't wanna step on your maps there, Kaz, but you wanna go on that?
Kazanir:
Yeah, so I linked the two earlier. Those are the initial systems that have GEZs. If you need to to get stuff done, we're gonna get the sheet updated as soon as I figure out how to do that. But you can go look and see what's available. Several of the systems have a bunch of raitarus. They're great for making sub caps, making freighters and jump freighters. Two different locations have Azbels that are appropriate for building capitals. That's what they're there for. And they have a system next door to them for building components. And we have a super cap sotiyo online as well, which also has a component raitaru next door too. So there are a couple parts that are not quite finished yet. That's okay. You'll see that they are not, they're marked that way in their names. You can rely on what the structure tells you. While we are still finishing the pieces and getting the spreadsheets online, we wanted to announce that.
Asher Elias:
How to do a crab beacon. We do have a thread about it. It, it's not hard to do. Running crab beacons is simple. I know some.
Apple Pear:
Even Asher can do it.
Asher Elias:
Exactly. No. Yes. That is, that is a good metric. If I can do it, you can do it. Someone was telling me they'd never done it before and they always thought oh wow, this must be pretty tough. And then they did it. They're like, wow, this is actually super simple. Yeah. Said they did the first one and it's pretty simple.
Kazanir:
This is gonna blow your guys' minds, but Temu Asher and Asher have actually done crab beacons together.
Asher Elias:
Yeah, that's true.
Kazanir:
I shot his crab beacon by accident once I forget what that bug was.
Asher Elias:
I, it was that you, activated a smart bomb and hit the crab beacon and the drones auto agro'd, I believe is what happened.
Kazanir:
So, yes, something like that.
Asher Elias:
Yeah. But, no, I, I probably ran 20 crab beacons this week. Got an officer drop too. Okay.
Snipereagle1:
Fish asks, are we doing away with cluster GEZs? We had, we are not. But we do not have a, all the rigs we dropped in Immensea are still there and we have to build new ones. We can't just pick them up and put them down again we did when we set up down there. So, I think what Kaz is sharing is what is currently available. There are plans for much more, but we need to procure the materials for rigs and such, so.
Kazanir:
Sniper's exactly right. This is probably only 25% of what we would love to lay down for, for GEZs. we have plans, but we need to build stuff. Yeah. There are multi-month plans at this point. The move will take a while. We're still selling the previous structure in some cases. Salvage is just not available, especially Tech Two, the universe is just choked for it, in, in part because of our lovely member corps who acted more quickly than the Alliance did. And they have a lot of their infra down, which is great. So there are some CEZs that are online with better infra than the Alliance have. But we do have a core of functional GEZs right at the Capitol and down in Karma Fleet's pocket, along with, with CAP and Supercap building.
Asher Elias:
Alright. In Insmother, we have set up miner towns. I love miners. We have a request. Please stop cherry picking. There's one person we've seen doing, a lot of cherry picking and you know, we currently don't have a particular policy. I don't want to make one. I don't want to doomsday your rorq, but if this one guy keeps doing it, I'm just gonna show up. Actually, I'll probably send Wibla. He would enjoy it more than I would, but please stop cherry picking.
Kazanir:
That's right. So this is, gonna add this to the policy thread as something that's technically only a sub-bullet of the don't be a dick rule. And that means that if you become, if you are a habitual cherry picker and someone notices that and you get caught by a finance director, you might also get shot by a finance director, which would be hugely embarrassing for you. That is why it is in the policy thread. We know it's unenforceable. We don't wanna make a more detailed rule, but just don't do it.
Asher Elias:
Yeah. So we're gonna talk about exploration right now. So it's a good, question Anoop. So, in scalding pass, if you pull up your scalding pass map, basically everything west of N3 is almost completely upgraded for explo. So if you just go west of N3, chances that there's an exploration update is about 98%. And an important thing there is, first off, exploration has got upgraded. It's important for, getting things for us to build with. And, one thing that you need to know is that you need to finish the site for the chance of the escalation, and you can just fail the cans and you will still get the chance for the escalation, even if you fail the cans. So you want to finish the whole site when you're exploring. It'll respawn the site, first of all, which is important for you. Also give you a chance to, to get the escalation. So, cherry picking an escalation is just dumb and bad.
A Shadow asks about the upgrade math itself. I am not the person to answer. I just know that we have, I know that we figured it out correctly.
Snipereagle1:
Yeah. So I dropped, I dropped two links in chat related to explo.
https://goonfleet.com/index.php/topic/371770-equinox-upgrade-information-station/
One is the post from CCP about the changes they made a couple days ago. The other one is our list of upgrades. That spreadsheet is gonna get some updates, maps of what, an auto-generated dotlan link of Hey, here's everywhere that has a, ratting or, certain kinds of upgrades and so on and so forth. But yeah, so it, it buffs the systems when they overlap. You don't lose anything. It's not a on off switch of this system is covered by a tier three explo or it's not. And then you lose from the overlap. You gain from the overlap as people are saying. You can go out to Scalding Pass and you'll find some that have double digit signatures to scan Mountain.
Asher Elias:
It's crazy how good it is. And people are saying that it's not just me. People who are doing it are, locusti says I made 1.7 billion from six hours of relic sites. And another person, foggy hedgehog points out something super duper important. The escalations are not region based. So you can get an escalation that gets things that you can't normally get to be Titan parts. Things that are really important. Joram said 3 billion in escalation sites here, 300 million yesterday in an hour with the most easiest sites. It's just crazy how good, exploration is.
Snipereagle1:
And it's worth mentioning too, you can obviously buy a virtue pod and buy a super expensive thing and whatnot, but you can also in..
Asher Elias:
You could do it in..
Snipereagle1:
Training, be in an Astero, and go out and run explore sites.
Asher Elias:
You can do it in a 2 million isk ship, right.
Snipereagle1:
This is an awesome thing for people that are new or people that are account limited.
Asher Elias:
I've had systems where the site spawned so quick that I got stuck in a system. Imagine that exploration, exploring one system. It, it's really good stuff right there.
Alright. I think that's everything that I wanted to talk about. So let's open up the questions. People have thrown 'em at me, but I've been going through my agenda.
Can you talk about how Cache is doing? I mean, we've taken systems. I there's not much more to say.
Oh, I saw a bunch of questions about jump bridges. We've got three online. And, the rest start coming online, actually today, but it's gonna be a rollout as to when we took the system would be when we can start putting the jump bridges in. But we're going to, be doing it over, as they come online and which will be starting today. So you can expect to see a lot of jump bridges coming online this week and then rolling into the weeks in, probably the next two weeks we'll cover most systems. But then there are some that we took later on. Yeah.
Snipereagle1:
The way that we flipped stuff, we did it largely relatively close to being a region at a time. So Wicked just hit SOV two basically across the board so it can get its beacons. So we've got another, three weeks until Wicked gets its ansis, but then they'll basically all go up in a few days.
Asher Elias:
Sedin wants another shout out for Gopniks. I know you guys, you guys get shouted every week. I think we're cool, but yeah, seems like a good group.
Snipereagle1:
A couple little housekeeping things I've seen GSOL is still running around and configuring pocos and sky hooks, so please be patient. That is ongoing. Somebody asked about, are we gonna get more X, Y, Z upgrade? The upgrades that are posted are relatively final.
Asher Elias:
Dictator said his record before the data change was 3 billion in one data site. What? That's Wow. That's crazy.
Yeah. Internet Night. Shout out to everyone doing the move op fleets. We are, you guys are still moving a lot of stuff. I think we're in the long tail now, but long tail for goons is still a lot of ships moving through. We were checking the numbers out. You guys are still moving a lot of stuff. Those are still going on. We're not stopping them anytime soon.
Let's talk about, briefly. I wanted to talk about, CAD Control Delve, we're gonna be leaving them over by TCAG for the moment. It seems the place that they make the most sense. So some people have been asking about that.
Any market coming to GPLB? I don't think so. Generally we do one market per region.
Asher, where can I watch Sumo?
Kazanir:
Sorry. Market for Wicked Creek is GPLB. Is it not on?
Snipereagle1:
Okay. I think we still need to plug one in there.
Kazanir:
Heavens to. We should get that done.
Snipereagle1:
But yeah, there will be a market in a Keep in each region of our space.
Asher Elias:
I'm doing sumo every day and I have the VODs that people wanna go watch 'em if miss 'em. Yeah, usually around 10:00 PM Eastern or so.
Okay. Why defend Delve? We aren't defending Delve, we're basically uninvolved there. We sent one fleet that was sort of an accident where the FC got over excited. Those people can sort out their own issues. We're not involved in that.
Can we sponsor Anish or Anish? Probably not. He's probably too big now, but we should look into that.
And yeah, we'll be, have Jumpbridges going up across all of our space over the next month or so. In a month basically at that point, every jump bridge should be up. In the next week and a half or so, I would say maybe we get 80% of them up. That seems reasonable. Right? Sniper?
Snipereagle1:
Hit me with that one more time.
Asher Elias:
In the next, week and a half or so, the next 10 days, we probably get 80% of our planned jump bridges will be available to go online.
Snipereagle1:
No.
Asher Elias:
No. Okay. I'm overestimating it then.
Snipereagle1:
So Insmother will be basically done probably in the next week. We're still waiting.
Asher Elias:
Right?
Snipereagle1:
In Detorid and, wicked.
Asher Elias:
Okay. I thought we got those in about, in about two weeks or so or less. Three weeks. Three weeks. Three or three weeks. Yeah. Okay. Well, there you go. Yeah, we'll have Insmother up, which will help a lot anyway.
As far as upgrades, we've been dropping a bunch. It's just been when we're hitting them. Tenerifis, I don't know. I don't remember what we have. I think we're just putting ratting upgrades in there and stuff like that. I, I think that if it hasn't been done yet, we will be getting to it eventually, but it is not the most, high, priority for us right now.
How often do you do fleets, Asher, or not anymore? During fight, during wars I do fleets, day to day, I don't do as many fleets. There's just, only have so much time for eve and I don't have time to run a fleet.
Beyondnoxx UNP:
Didn't you use to fc?
Asher Elias:
Yeah. Thank you. Beyond, I appreciate that. You're a good guy. I hope you fall over on your vacation.
Snipereagle1:
God damn.
Asher Elias:
Leshak doctrine, when? We're just waiting for the post, it'll be up pretty soon. We're not in, we're not in a rush to use it. So it's not something that we don't have a plan for it this week anyway. But yeah, it's gonna be something where you're gonna need to get the implants if you haven't got them before. And then, you're gonna need to get the hull if you haven't got it, but many of you have it already.
Snipereagle1:
I see questions about moons. Kaz has been communing with the moon scans for the last couple days. We're talking about it in Kremlin tomorrow.
Asher Elias:
Yeah, we're, we're getting close there.
Snipereagle1:
Of operations. You know, we do corp stuff and then once corp stuff is sorted, then we do alt corp stuff. People asking about allied metanoxes in our space. Yeah, those are, those are gonna come down.
Asher Elias:
There's still, yeah, I mean there's, still getting people approved to drop structures. I mean, there's a lot going on as far as moving and getting settled. We are not near done yet with that. So, it is all progressing. But yeah, we'll be talking to your corp CEOs about Corp moons tomorrow.
If the goal is to get everyone in Titans, what would the Alliance suggest for the first or second Titan? Honestly. Everyone's buying Levis right now, and that's fine. We're happy with that. But I would just say whichever one you want of the Levi, the Ragnarok or the Erebus, they all have advantages. You know, if you the big number, probably the Ragnarok is the best. It has the best doomsday, without a doubt. Not even close to being, there's no close second. The Ragnarok is the best doomsday and it has probably the best guns in my opinion. Maybe you could argue the Erebus is better, but the way you have to fit an Erebus these days, you don't really get to use the guns as well. So, I would say that's what the Ragnarok has. The Erebus, actually, if you're under sustained fire, the Erebus is probably the best titan to tank, which is weird. For Doomsday, the Levi is the best for tank. So yeah, Levi, Ragnarok Erebus. If you want an avatar, don't build one. We will get you one and we'll build a different, titan for someone else.
Snipereagle1:
Casadorr, local fuel is not bait.
Asher Elias:
Which super is supreme right now? That one's a little more even I would say. Can think of something to recommend. Every super has some value. Aeon versus Wyvern I honest, just whatever dude. Wyvern's cool 'cause it's a hammer, right? But just pick whichever one you like. Pick whichever one you like.
Best Crab Beacon Super. I don't know the answer to that. I would assume the Nyx or the Hel is, would be my guess, but I literally don't know the answer.
Kazanir:
Almost certainly the Hel if travel speed is meaningful. But we haven't actually tested it.
Asher Elias:
I mean, we're doing crab beacons, right? So Yeah, you're not gonna be traveling. Yeah. So, yeah.
Kazanir:
Well, I guess we use long range bombers.
Asher Elias:
Huh? You mean travel time? Yeah. I don't know fighters. I literally, not the person to ask, so I'm sure someone else can give you a better idea. I imagine that you're, you're.
Snipereagle1:
He'll write you.
Asher Elias:
Yeah. And, and you're probably just, just get one that you like and, and it probably won't matter. It probably won't make a significant difference. This is one of those things where people really over optimize. And I know we're all nerds who love to optimize and I do to optimize things. You know, I spend a lot of time fiddling with this sharp bits to get you guys good fits, but just whatever, whatever super you get that you like will run a crab beacon better than anything else.
Speaking of crab beacons. Yeah. Someone asked earlier about having two dreads in a beacon saying, is that allowed? Is that okay? Is it bad? No, it's actually good. Two, two dreads on a beacon is better than one dread. In my opinion, it makes it a little harder to drop. I mean, I guess you are a slightly juicier target, but we're not worried about dropped on in that sense. Like we want them to drop on us. If you even are juicier target, it's better, but you, No, I think two dreads on one beacon is a better way to do it. I mean, the best way to run them right now, because if you want to, if you wanna do it sort of the safest combination of effort, safety, and not wagering too much of a loss you do with a super, 'cause there's always the potential with a super that you could lose it. People can drop dreads on it. Even in this space, there's no guarantees with anything, but the best one is a dread with two krabquals. Yeah. People are putting it in channel. One dread, two krabquals is the best thing.
Snipereagle1:
No.
Asher Elias:
Yes.
Snipereagle1:
No.
Asher Elias:
I'm right here. Sorry.
Snipereagle1:
Yeah, you're, you're wrong. It's fine. That's a great way for your dread to die because it's not where it can be easily responded to, so please don't do it.
Asher Elias:
I'm we're gonna agree to disagree here, but Yeah. That's what I think. And, GB says the beacons aren't anchored in belts. Doesn't matter anyway.
I'll ask one last time since I'm legit curious to have an answer. Asher, can I use an arty panther for beehive and just never ask for SRP? I don't know. You'd have to ask in beehive. I don't think we, I don't think we allow it. I think though I, if I am not mistaken, we will be bringing in widows. So, the panther is honestly just a really bad hull. I would, I mean, it's such a cool looking hull, but it's just a bad hull. Unfortunately they need to upgrade it, but I believe we are bringing in widows.
Stickzability:
Just wait for the beehive announcement guys, for changes in doctrine. Just try and fly. What we ask. If you want to be a special snowflake, there's auxiliary stuff that gets bridged in, so.
Asher Elias:
The redeemer will be by far and away the, the backbone of beehive though.
Tell CCP to un-nerf it. Unfortunately, they don't come to our guys and say, Hey, how should we balance things? Actually, there was a pretty funny thing. I think it was Okami asked for ship balancing ideas on the eve server. If you guys wanna read the worst thread you've ever read, read the average eve player's opinion on balance. It was awful. It was so bad. I, I didn't write anything in there 'cause it would've just been lost in the sea of crap that was that thread.
Is dog staying in Scalding Pass? I don't know who dog is, so. Yes, I do actually. They are, yes they are. We, we, basically made a deal with them that they could keep that one constellation 'cause we didn't have a lot of use for it. If we need to put a structure in there, we have a deal that we can drop a structure. So they'll be staying there and, oh, is that not dog or, I'm sorry.
Snipereagle1:
That's B sod.
Asher Elias:
Oh, okay. My bad then.
Snipereagle1:
But that constellation is basically fake curse guys. So even if we had the space, you wouldn't wanna do anything there.
Kazanir:
So one, there are two systems that still have dog sovereignty because we're running Ansis there and those will fall away as we put our own down within the next couple weeks. Yep.
Asher Elias:
Alright. Oh, okay. Dog was the one. Bsod is the one I'm thinking of. Yep.
I just miss artillery doctrines. Artillery is in a weird place in the meta right now. I would say that. It's better usually in an armor meta. Just because the mobility, is, I mean, that's, that's not a, that's not a hard and fast. But artillery is just not in the best place right now. Cruises are good. Meta has shifted around. I think the Meta is gonna change in the next six months actually. I think it's already changed. People haven't realized it yet though, so we'll see what happens. I like to watch this a lot, but, if you miss flying a doctrine, you just wait and eventually you will get to fly it.
Do we use rail guns? We use Rokhs. Rokhs are a very good ship. No meta, laser meta either. I mean, it was just funny because apochs were meta for eight years, so I, I, for me, lasers are in my mind, the dominant weapon of eve online for a long time. But we, rails are strong right now. You know, you've got, vultures, you've got FNIs and you've got Rokhs, lots of rails and mediums and larges.
I have 13 billion of red loot. Is there a buyback for it? Yes, indeed. I have, I have sold probably at least 50 billion to the Alliance buyback. It's good shit.
Also redeemers. I think that's a good point. We just talked about how redeemers are the backbone. So yeah, there are lasers, but yes, in a mainline ship, we don't have lasers right now and I don't see them coming back in the near future.
Speaking of which, faction warfare. Yeah. We're looking to, revitalize that a little bit. So, hopefully that'll be something we can get going sooner rather than later. Put an F in the chat if you are interested in faction warfare. Okay. Pretty reasonable numbers. I'd say it's about what, 40 out of? What do we have here? 600, 700 people.
All right, guys, we got other questions. Diplo status on Brotherhood of Spacers. Yeah, we have no interest in Omist, at the time being, they live in Omist. We have a fine relationship with Brotherhoodhood of spacers. We're not allies. We're not enemies. We don't, we think highly of them, but, that's about the end of the Diplo status. I mean, I'm sure that it can go into greater detail, but if you want the, bullet points, the axios.com answer, that's what it is.
Yeah, we're looking to move, out of pirate factions and towards, Amarr and Caldari.
Is there any rules against running supers and dreads on the same beacons? I don't, asking me the beehive rules is not a great thing and you can ask in beehive, but I don't think there is a rule, but it's better just to ask there.
Stickzability:
Fine. You can do that.
Asher Elias:
Yeah.
Any chance of doing Operation Burn Jita? Asks Casey. CCP has made that much harder. Also, it's a real big undertaking and a lot of our command layer is burned out. I don't know if it's felt on the line member level 'cause obviously I interface with leadership guys more often than a line member. But, and so I may, maybe you guys are not feeling the same way, but, there are a lot of people who have been putting in the yeoman's work and are very, just need, they need some rest. So if you see a director, just coo at them, gently, soft sounds, break off a piece of bread and throw it to them, stuff like that. Yeah. So, I don't think burn Jita would be on the menu anytime soon.
Just got 350 million from exploration site just now. They are nice.
At least we can burn Horde there near, nearby. Yeah. So we've been going into Horde space every day and, getting great fights there. There's also been. It's easy to just get in there and get your own action. I've been shooting bubbles on the gate, it's just been, there have just been lots of opportunities to do things, which is nice. You can just go somewhere, do something really quick. And it is literally now with the jump bridge to EFM, two jumps to get into their space, which is crazy. Do you guys remember when we had to find a wormhole and go through a worm hole and do all this? Nope. Two jumps. We're there.
Are we going to push Horse's big structures or is the war over? The war of the ruses taking insmother, setting up all the stuff that we've done, that is finished. But, we are not done with horde. It's just we are, this is where we are right now. We're gonna, we're dig in retrench, do all that kind of stuff, get everything set up before we start looking to anything new that.
How long will the no anchorable bubbles in blue space persist? I don't think we plan to take that away. That wasn't a temporary thing. There's not many good reasons to bubble blue space, and the reasons that people do it are generally, I don't know if I wanna say the word selfish, but they're not in the best interest of the entire alliance. They're in the best interest of three people. Right. And so, don't think we're gonna ever take that away. If you wanna run a hictor or a dictor and actually be, active on a gate, then a hundred percent do that.
Also, I don't know if I mentioned this earlier, but we've been having people in the beehive put HAW dreads on gates that are being camped and breaking up gate camps, which I love. I am so into that. So, shout out to people doing that and, keep that up. But that's the kind of thing where, if you're active on a gate, please have a hictor. Yeah, I've been breaking up gate camps around C-J. Exactly.
Can we gate camp with a super? I would recommend not doing that. You know, we are definitely not invincible where we are. I think there's a, people are riding really high. There will be a counter punch coming. I guarantee you that they're already prepping, whatever it is. So, we do need to stay watchful.
Link the HAW dread fits. Just throw HAW guns on there. Have a self repping dread. It's really that simple. Don't need a super duper fit to make it work.
Snipereagle1:
Go to the crabbing fits. Grab one of the beehive HAW dread fits, and that's a pretty good fit. Maybe add some more tackle in the mids.
Asher Elias:
Yeah. Kiki's coming through wormholes are a serious threat. No hubris. Exactly.
Want to buy Naglfar HAW fit. Man. Naglfars are unfortunately not a good dread at the moment. So it's a little sad, but, and I was looking at 'em the other day.
Do FCs need help checking unidentified wormhole status in beehive? I presume they do internet knight. I can't answer for sure, but that seems like something that we could use help on.
Stickzability:
If you would like to help with stuff like that, please join Scanner Bees.
Asher Elias:
There you go.
Stickzability:
And someone please post the scanner bees recruitment thing in Elysium for me.
https://goonfleet.com/index.php/topic/348913-sig-scanner-bees/
Asher Elias:
Can we trade Naglfars in for another dread type? I think we still have a program for that, don't we? Where you can trade a T1 Nag in.
Snipereagle1:
Producers have info in their thread, where you can basically do an upgrade program where you get a certain amount off of a new dread.
Asher Elias:
There you go. Yeah. That, that nag was kind of a hero. That was pretty funny. It's not like it's still a dreadnought. It's not like it's worthless. It's just the worst of the four currently.
I'm so fucking bored all the time. Can we start trying to pick fights with horde like in some ceptors? I mean, fleets are going on all the time, but yeah. You should be joining those fleets. If you want to fc a skirmish doctrine, you're also welcome to do that. Yeah, I was. I was also very bored at one point.
Snipereagle1:
The skirmish commander's link.
https://goonfleet.com/index.php/topic/342754-sig-skirmish-commanders-herding-cats-in-2023/
Asher Elias:
Yeah, but I feel if you look through Java, we have a lot of things going on, like Stickz mentioned.
Also. That's a good SIGs and squad shout out to. If that, if there's not enough action going on just with main fleets, there are, there's even more action going on with SIGs and squads that you can join. Combat ceptors are actually something I'd like to look into. Let me add that to my notes. It's something I've been thinking about.
Is Scanner Bee's active. I applied to Scanner Bees months ago. An application is still pending. All right, we'll check that out.
Stickzability:
Not really a thing like it used to be.
Asher Elias:
Okay. We may need to push people elsewhere then.
Snipereagle1:
Except it's probably because you're not active.
Asher Elias:
Are you going to bring reavers back? I've never heard of that, but presuming I had heard of it, I just do not have the time. Like I, as far as if I wasn't. Running imperium and Goonswarm then that I'd have more time to do something like that last night.
Most important question. How are you? Thank you for asking.
Railgus when and the Tengu all, all the T3Cs are out. They're useful. They're just not really good. Well, I shouldn't say they're not really good for anything. They usually, you can find a better ship for any one particular role. They're more flexible for sure. But, maybe Proteus Smart bombing is, there's nothing better than that probably. But yeah. I would just say that railgus also, it's also a scale thing. Railgus at a hundred railgus versus a hundred something else is a pretty good doctrine, but 250 along with two other fleets doesn't scale. Doesn't scale terribly well.
Will beehive HAW dreads be SRP eligible? No, that's not something we normally SRP, we will try to defend you, which we've been doing pretty well.
Diogenes says, Asher, this is probably the best time in the history of goons in space for easy low effort PVP with our main capital officially two jumps our from. Literally two jumps from our forever enemy's home space. That also means if you ever wanted to fc, now is the absolute best time ever to get into it. I have a suspicion FC death as we fling fleets at Horde and vice versa five times a day will be something until something breaks is going to be a big deal. Yes, well said.
Longest fireside ever. Not even close, my friend. Not even close.
Is there a sig to become an fc? Or if not, how do I become one? Skirmish commanders, my friend, skirmish commanders is the sig. Anyone may join more or less and it is a great place to start. I started in skirmish commanders and now I'm here. Take that for what it's worth.
Kazanir:
That feel, it feels like the most obvious bingo bait ever, but he hasn't called a bingo. I'm wondering what's happening.
Asher Elias:
Yeah, no, and he was talking about being bored and wanting to do things earlier. I think that might be an organic skirmish commanders.
24 hour fireside when? Let me ask a question. If I do a 24 hours fireside, will Brisc barge in, tell a 15 minute story and then flush a lizard down the toilet? That's what I'm worried about.
Is PI tax being put to 1%? When do you think this will be completed? My understanding is that has to be done sort of at each, each system or whatever, and one planet at a time. So it's more of someone has to do it, Jeff, and it's a real pain. It is on the list, but yes, it's not fun and it takes a very long time. And we have a lot of stuff. People want, jump bridges. They want, research. They want places to build. They want mining. They want all this stuff and we understand and we're trying to get it for you. They want the taxes down too. We want to get it all done for you, but there is a lot to do and you can understand why some directors are kind of burned out.
Who's going to win the Women's European Football Championship? I have no idea. But I do know that the Scandinavian countries got into women's sports much earlier than some of the other countries. That's my only knowledge I would presume, then I'll say Sweden.
Thoughts on Costco swapping from Pepsi to Coca-Cola? This was a big deal, when they went to Pepsi. Coke did not want to play ball with Costco, and obviously Costco loves low prices, they had a big impasse for a long time, but then, they kissed and made up and Coca-Cola brought the price down. Costco brought their, their bid up and now we're getting Coke back at Costco. Good job.
Coke with cane sugar? only if you get the Mexican Coke. By the way, speaking of price inflation, Mexican Cokes at Costco went from $20 for a pack to $35. Crazy dude.
The Weaselior University thing is gonna be in about 15 minutes and we have talked for a long time, so I am going to now wrap it up.
Thank you, my friends, for showing up. I shall see you next week. We've had a great week. Go out and have another great one. See y'all later. Bye.
