After Karttoon stole everything (the alliance, the main corp, billions in assets) Goons were left wandering in the wilderness of Syndicate and trying to invade Cloud Ring, all under the banner of the SOLODRAKBANSOLODRAKBANSO[LODRA], a naming gimmick that had a very short shelf life.
In April 2010 Vile Rat, working on the diplomatic front, found a welcoming response from Tau Ceti Federation who offered Goons a couch in DKUK-G in Deklein as a base to rebuild.
After some early tensions with the locals in Deklein, an accord was reached. Tau Ceti Federation merged with Goonswarm to become Goonswarm Federation and the nearby allies, including a newly arrive TEST, formed what became the Clusterfuck Coalition, or the CFC for short.
Ardent foes of Goons refused to use that name, trying get people to refer to the coalition as the "Deklein Coalition" or DekCo. An uninterrupted string of victories by the CFC made this look like the petty BS it was.
At the end of its run the CFC consisted of the following alliances:
- Goonswarm Federation
- The Bastion
- Circle of Two
- Executive Outcomes
- Fidelas Constans
- The Initiative.
- Get Off My Lawn
- RAZOR Alliance
- SpaceMonkey's Alliance
- Tactical Narcotics Team
The coalition rebranded on 14 Apr 2015 to The Imperium, having never lost a major sov war.
On rebranding, the same foes who wouldn't use our old name refused the new name, referring to us as the CFC off and on until well after the Casino War.
