Asher Elias:

All right, hello. Hello. Hello. Hello What's up? Jabco, he did it. Okay, so if you have questions, remember we talk in Elysium on Jabber. So if you have a question, that's where you should be. If you want to follow the chat, that's where you should be. Elysium on Jabber. Don't send them to me on Mumble. Welcome aboard.

So we got we got the first step of the new plans from CCP. Nothing hugely groundbreaking passive moon mining is back. Will that be a huge deal for us? I don't think it would be huge but it will make a difference. I think our enemies always wanted that a lot more than we did because they don't use their people as effectively as we do, they don't enable their people. So we will take advantage of it to some degree, but we weren't like celebrating when that got announced. No one, no one really was like, Oh, wow. That's the greatest thing ever. From what they From what they have said the passive moon miner will take a percentage of the maximum amount you could have got from a frack. That means that the moon itself will not be mineable manually. So it is unlikely that we will be changing Delve moons to go to passive mining but other areas outside of Delve could go there.

If you were around before I don't know, like five years ago or so, this is how moons worked is that they were entirely passively mined. People fought over moons a lot. And there was always this weird scenario where you were fighting over a moon that paid out, you know, three or 5 billion a month and, you know, the fight would have 300 billion lost and you're like, well, this moon's never going to pay that back, but that happened a lot.

Bring back the siphon. Exactly, Wilhelm. I, that was a fun item. I don't know, I'm not good with time, so if it was more than four or five years ago, then it was more than four or five years ago.

Snipereagle1:

I think Athanors came out eight years ago? I don't know.

Asher Elias:

Yeah. Acehawk brings up [Deleted by Gobbins]. If you guys did not know, during the during the hull timer for Ahbazon, when Horde members asked in their general chat why they were not, you know, fighting there the questions were being deleted off their Discord server. You cannot delete Jabber, so no questions are deleted off our Jabber, but Horde was trying to delete them, so [Deleted by Gobbins] quickly became a meme for a period of like four hours. And you can tell that that bothered Gobbins, because he, within like about 12 hours of the meme happening, he went to our Elysium, picked out Ragnar saying something stupid, sorry Ragnar, I know that's your, sort of your job, and then pinged it out to all of Horde. So He, he was, he was really upset by it. You could tell. Yeah. Yeah. Beyond, that's Ragnar's default mode. You know, Gobbins is mad when he is looking for something Ragnar said, and then pinging it out to all of Horde. But anyway, yeah. So [Deleted by Gobbins]. Make sure you mention that to him whenever you see him because apparently that is a a real sore spot for him. I also think it's hilarious that they're just censoring their own server. When someone asks, why aren't we at the timer guys? We're not going to give you an answer. We're just going to delete your comments.

So for the new SOV system, they're going to combine the TCU and the IHub. Thank goodness for that. It's stupid that they're separate. The TCU does very little. The new SOV hub or whatever will be one thing. Don't know how they'll implement that. We don't know if they'll just make all the IHubs into SOV hubs. We have no idea. We'll see. The announcement has been somewhat underwhelming, they have told us they are planning to do something and then they told us there... here are some of the plans that we're planning, but it hasn't been very particular. I think what we can look at here, say this is the start of their changes and not the end. So the changes will have to be... We'll have to wait for more changes as they come down the pipe.

Can we expect support for the new capital sites like Beehive for Crabs? So, Deader, you're asking a question that I cannot answer because they have not given us any details. I don't know how they'll be done, you know, until we know that kind of thing I can't tell you. We spent most of our meetings today just talking about what we, what we do know and how we'll react to it and we'll figure out more as it comes but right now they have not given us a ton of details.

So let me give Ghoster the details on the Forticopter, yeah.

Snipereagle1:

Yeah, so there's there's some Reddit posts about it, but after PanFam and BigAB no-showed for the Fort timer we were doing some silly things with fleet formations and warping on the Fortizar, and so the Brave and GSF fleets became, like, the top rotor, and then Mr. Ranger messed around with his alts to make, like, a tail rotor, so there's a couple really good pictures on Reddit. Less than there should be because, of course you know, the r/eve mods can't see too many posts from goons in one day. So they had to delete a couple.

Asher Elias:

Yeah, of course. Yeah, I love how all of r/eve just works against us. It is very much a horde place. And that makes me very happy when, we fight against all their mods and get our stuff up anyway, but yeah, we're very much fighting the away battle right there.

Omri says while Kaz and Angry tried to neither confirm or deny in any way or comment. Yeah It is very funny when the stuff gets sort of halfway announced because those two are like walking around on landmines trying not to say anything that would break NDA And like trying to confirm what has actually been released and what hasn't. It is funny to to listen to it and watch.

Atrium says, Asher Elias, underwhelming. So CCP has been impersonating your posting. Hey, much like your posting in long form. Very well done, Atrium. It's a classic.

Ragnar6 says a content that I'm sorry, says a comment I'm about to delete. No, content is content, but having our BS's deleted by dreads over and over three times is a little old. Are we going to do something about it? So we took a fight on an iHub That was in Chinese time zone. Try to extend it into Euro time zone. They dropped Dreads on us. You know, we weren't gonna fight that fight with Dreads and our FC probably shouldn't have used Battleships. You know, we've talked about it with them. It's not that big of a deal. I'm sorry you didn't like getting shot by Dreads, but, you know, it's gonna happen when they have Dreads in the area and we don't. We have to learn how to fight against that. And that's part of, you know, training our FCs and getting ready and getting prepared for that kind of thing.

Abnotus says it does seem like, like at this point, Horde is willing to keep on bringing dread fights in Catch. Are you planning to match or still holding on for those summer changes? You know every time Abnotus that we have brought dreads up there, they have not been willing to fight. So I don't think your read is correct. Anytime we have brought dreads for a dreads fight, they have stayed docked with theirs. So I don't think there's a high chance that they will use dreads in a fight where they believe that there's a chance they will get shot by other dreads. In fact, I have a strong feeling that they will not do that given their past history and what we know about Horde.

Max says, feels like we need to choose between fights. We probably lose first getting blue balled. Here's my philosophy. I would rather just take a fight where we have the, where we have a 30 percent chance of winning and pull out the, you know, the victory when we outplay them, then not take the fight at all. And their philosophy is the really old and I think outdated philosophy of hell dunk or blue balls, and I think that's a terrible way to play the game. So if it's appealing to you, if you literally only want to undock when you have no chance of losing, so you think I would go there. That's, that's, that's like my, my firm belief is if that is appealing to you, please go there, we're going to keep taking fights whenever we can. We're not going to go into a meat grinder, but we're going to take fights. This is what I tell our FCs. If there's a 20 percent chance you think you could win, go for it. Please take the fight. If you lose, learn from it better. That fight yesterday or whatever, two days ago, it doesn't matter. Like that fight doesn't matter. There was no strategic loss. You know, 1DQ wasn't under threat. No, one's going to remember it in two weeks. The only people who are going to remember it are the people who were involved and who learned something from it. You know, my ego will not be hurt because we had a slightly worse BR than if we hadn't taken that fight. And those people who were on their side didn't learn anything. Like, you don't learn anything, you know, when you're, if you're the Golden State Warriors and you played some junior varsity team from high school, you're not practicing, you're not improving. And this has been my philosophy for a long time, and whenever, whenever a fight happens that matters, we win those.

And this is why. I'm telling you guys the secret sauce, and I don't mind telling you the secret sauce because they won't listen. They are chronically unable to understand this. They laugh at this shit because they're stupid, and that's just, That's the whole story. They are stupid. They don't understand how to play the game. I tell them how to do it, we win the wars, and they still don't listen. I want to ask you guys a question. When was the last time, when was the last time PanFam went and attacked a Keepstar that was defended? Think back. When was the last time? Yeah, it's M2. You guys, you guys know it. You know it off the top of your head. It's M2. That was four years ago. That was four years ago. People were like, that was before I started playing the game. They haven't done anything for four years Are we old? We are old. It was merely 3. 3 years ago. There you go. It was 3. 3 years ago. And so what I'm explaining to you guys is the reason that we win those kind of fights is because we take these other fights. And I don't mind telling you that because I'm giving you the secret fire and our bad guys will not take it. If, if the appeal of like not losing your ship and having a BR at the end that looks nice is the most valuable thing to you, this is probably the not, not the right place for you. If the appeal is that we want to get better, we want to be better at what we do, that's why we're here.

So we're going to keep taking those fights. I know this is a simple question, and I went on a big, long explanation, but it's something that I think is really important. And it's something they don't understand, and it's something I don't mind telling you guys, because that is, that is key and core to our philosophy. I want, I want to do things the hard way. I am a toughest road merchant. You know, I want to be the eight seed playing the one seed because that is how you get better. I've never wanted to be the one seed and I want us to be the best. I don't want us to have the best BR. I want us to be the best so that when the rubber hits the road, when it actually matters, we fucking win. And that's what we do. So those fights that don't matter that you're going to forget in two weeks. Yeah. Some of those are going to be like, Oh no, their dread shot our battleships. I don't give a shit. Did our FCs learn? Did we have like three hour conversation after what can we do better? Yes. Yes. Did they go haha and slap themselves on the back? Yes. Did they learn anything? No. Anyway, that's the philosophy. Be aggressive.

All right Sniper. You got some new rules we want to talk about? Can you

Snipereagle1:

I do.

Asher Elias:

Yeah, go for it.

Snipereagle1:

That that black shirt looks real nice on you today, by the way. So there was a ping during the week so we've promoted a new director.

Xiopa from Karma Fleet is the new director of the Beehive. I think we need some claps in Elysium.

Asher Elias:

The Fs are appropriate, the Fs are appropriate, yeah.

Snipereagle1:

All of these are, are, are good, good chat spam. Good job, guys. Yep, so, so don't so we're gonna have some updates about Beehive in just a sec from Xiopa. Right after somebody teaches him how to unmute himself in this channel. But as part of that, don't worry, Toaster is not going anywhere. As we've seen before Director Beehive is a great way to fail upwards into bigger roles. So we're, we're basically, like, splitting FC Director into two roles now. So Zintage is now the Director of Capitals and Fittings, and Toaster is the Director of FC Management. So that's gonna be a change for Zintage, because he's not totally overwhelmed and drowning with shit to do, and You know, it's, it's new stuff for Toaster to do as well. So congratulate those guys as well. And yeah. And then Xiopa, if you wanted to hit your beehive stuff.

Xiopa Charante:

So yeah, just this Monday we're going to fully purge all of the krabbing sigs, so that's a honeybees, super honeybees and murder hornets. All you need to do is reapply and we'll process the apps as quickly as we can and try to avoid any downtime.

https://goonfleet.com/index.php/topic/355645-the-great-purge-of-2024/

Asher Elias:

All right. Well, that was a, that was a nifty little start. Okay. And. If you guys want to support our server fund, someone's going to link the Patreon. This is something that we use to pay for our server costs, pay for Mumble, pay for all that kind of stuff. We are fine with it right now. We could use, you know, a couple more people if but it's not, it's not, you know, there, there you go.

https://www.patreon.com/gsfserverfund

It's something we mention every few months because it just helps me make sure it stays topped up. So everything in here goes into running our servers and running Mumble and running Jabber and all that kind of stuff. What's the yearly cost? I don't have that off the top of my head. But we, we spend a pretty good amount of money on making sure, not only are we, you know, redundant, but we have some defense against, you know, DDoS and that kind of thing because we get hit pretty we get hit pretty hard every now and again. Yeah, and it is not nothing. It is probably more than you think.

Snipereagle1:

I know you'll do questions in a bit, but I wanted to grab one because it was relevant to Beehive. So, Xiopa linked a post about the Great Purge of 2024. We we do have translations in there, and most of the things that are going out should have links to the translated version as well. If there is a language missing, obviously, we're not going to have everything in there.

But we've had you know, like, people that are involved that can make sure the, like, intricacies of other languages are accurate. So we've had, like, those aren't just like. Google translate versions and other languages.

Zintage Enaka:

You're fine if you're in SIF.

Asher Elias:

Alrighty I am going to open the floor to questions. I know we've been answering them as they come anyway, but if you have questions, go ahead and ask them now in Elysium. That's on Jabber. Go ahead and ask in Elysium.

Do we still have a program to upgrade old Nag dreads to Zirns or PNIs? I don't think so. Kaz, can you address that?

Zintage Enaka:

That's like all the CAP producers, Asher. They just have a reduced price that you can trade in.

Asher Elias:

Oh, the trade in program, right? Yeah.

Kazanir:

Yeah, exactly. Zintage has got it. Sorry I was away from my desk. But yeah, if you check out either my thread, Kunmi's thread, there's several other threads. The Alliance is backing this and what we do is we buy your Tech 1 Dreadnought with its rigs for a pretty reduced price, right? We're getting a very good deal. Those Tech 1 Dreadnoughts will go and meet the Welp Gods at some point in the not too distant future, we all pray together. But then, because of that trade in, you get that as a discount against your upgrade for a Navy Dread or A Zirn. So go check out the prices. You can save really several billion isk and get rid of a Dreadnought. And get a much better one.

Asher Elias:

Kruktar asks, what happened to SEAL Team 6? It was, or HEAL Team 6, it wasn't being used and we have too much cruft anyways, so we closed it down. If there's use for it, we will reopen it.

Do you like Mediterranean food? I like fish.

Asher, is there anything you want the Alliance to work on as F2's micro organization during fleets?

Nothing in particular. One thing I would like is I want to make sure that we're getting our mains to JDC4, at least, and JDC5 eventually. That's something where we could use that with Beehive and other things. So, that's one thing you could be doing.

We still need, need TPS reports from new SIG leaders. We just actually did TPS reports in Illum over the last two weeks. So we're in the TPS report mode right now.

Azzye says, will the Bistot first rule change? So that's after the MER report comes out. Whenever CCP releases that, we will make a decision. So it could be as early as next fireside. It depends on when CCP releases the MER report. If they release it Friday next Friday, probably don't expect the decision. But MER will decide.

How has the Raven Doctrine been performing? We've only used it a couple times. It worked well so far. Our FCs are very excited about it.

Why are super and fax pilots being purged from super honeybees if there's no changes to fits? It's because this has never, the script's never been purged. So a general purge is useful.

Dynex says, how much do you appreciate all the other people who like Pi? Dynex, I really appreciate people who like PI. We were just talking about today how we need P4s, which I believe is PI. So, there you go.

Question, will I be kicked from fleet if I use my 9 Dictors in Goon's fleet? It depends on what you use the 9 Dictors on, but if you use them on our fleet, probably, yes.

Snipereagle1:

Only if you bubble the FC.

Asher Elias:

Alliance level super cap build program, asks Tranquility Dawn. It seems like CCP is hinting that there will be changes to that kind of thing. So, I would not expect something like that until we see what those changes are.

Razor says, are we going back to the Mac? I don't understand that question.

Is KarmaFleet still recruiting? They are.

I was honored to fight with you too, handsome beast. You are welcome with a reply.

No Palatine update this week. We have been really busy.

Lieutenant Gann asks, Asher Elias, did you play that game growing up where everyone cuts off a finger and hides it in the grocery store and whoever's finger is the last to be found wins the game and gets to keep all the fingers? I should read these questions before I start reading them aloud.

Snipereagle1:

What is wrong with you people? Including Asher, for reading them. Jesus.

Asher Elias:

I had my Ron Burgundy moment there. Ghostr says, Titan PvP when? I want to buy a Komodo. The isk to damage to value ratio for Titans is all out of whack. Pretty much every leader in the game has recognized that Titans, as they currently are, are relatively useless. They're not useless. They're just not useful in the sense of a nullsec fight. They don't make a lot of sense right now.

Snipereagle1:

Also, Ghostr, you should make sure you can afford fuel blocks before you buy a Komodo.

Asher Elias:

Reagalan says, bring back Maelstroms. Why, Reagalan? So you can lose them all to a bomb run? Sorry to bring up old wounds. But Maelstroms are pretty cool.

Ekdalar asked me for my thoughts on Manor Lords. If I stream, that's a good question to ask me there.

New corporate suit as alliance uniform when? You know, Atrum, I love dressing up and playing space barbie, so that might be a thing. That's a good call.

Is Rorqual Beacon running still viable? Yes. Thanatos_Underlord. Yes, very much so. Rorqual Crabqualling is really powerful.

Is Manor Lords a game? Because I thought you were asking about literally, like, Lords of Manors, like, historically. Which I could talk about, but maybe it's a game I don't know about. It is a game. Okay.

Can we get rid of the blue color on the Keep in 1DQ? We're going to keep it for a while, probably. It's a change. We put it in Upwell colors to celebrate the new releases from Upwell.

Lord_sk says, can you just say my name, Asher? There you go.

Oh, it's a new city builder? Okay, okay. Is it like City Skylines, but in olden, yay olden times?

I think the Sir meme, we haven't seen much of it too late. Is it Michela? I was noticing that. Not as many people calling me sir. A couple of the, a couple of the discords I'm in changed my name to SirAsher that I don't have like admin rights in, so.

Ryohey I'm not going to read that one out loud.

Alright, anyone else got any questions?

Oh, Colton says, mind1 is going to Manchester in October and doing an EVE meet. I'll have details here in the next month or so. So for you Brits or anyone who can get over to Manchester, that's pretty cool. I assume it's Manchester, not like Manchester, Georgia. I Yeah, okay. Manchester, Wisconsin. British.

Are we leaving Dreads in Lowsec? Watch your pings for that answer.

Wolfchester asks, is there a big ratio between Faxes and Dreads that we have? Is the official policy to still rush as many Dreads as possible? Yeah Dreads is Faxes are important and we do use them, but Dreads is sort of the number one thing we're pushing.

I read that NPC will attack Sovspace. Handome_beast. I don't know whether that's been said by anyone. We'll wait to see if if that actually happens.

You do get something if you're on the Patreon. Like, you get a little like a bee on the side of your post. So we do have something like that. Oh, you want like blinged out ones with like your shiny shoes? We might be able to make that happen.

CCP has had NPCs attacks SOV before, so it is not impossible. I literally have not heard about this. I don't know if this is a rumor, or a leak, or something else. So we'll see.

Snipereagle1:

There's something in one of the posts about, like, pirate blockades around the Sov Hubs or something, but we don't have any idea what that's gonna look like.

Asher Elias:

Okay.

Yeah, Zintage says, I feel the need to remind people, rush dreads, but that doesn't mean don't bring a battleship on battleship fleets, you need subs to field dreads. That's very true. This is why we say do it on an alt, do your dreads on an alt, it's very important to have them on an alt.

I'm working on five dread-alts, but it will be a long time, says Abnotus. You know, Abnotus, that's one of those things where it feels like a long time, and then you get it done, and then you have them forever. And I think a lot of us have been there where it felt like a long time, and then once it was done, you know, then you move on to other stuff, and then you have five dread-alts.

Snipereagle1:

Azyeh asks if there's SRP for Sif Redeemer pods. There is, as long as you also lose your escape bay frigate.

Asher Elias:

Yeah, you have to have the mail for the escape bay frigate.

Snipereagle1:

Which there's a, there's a wolf in the threads. Yeah cause the wolf has stupid high EM resists to make sure that you don't just get smart bombed off field. Like, succubuses are really good in many situations, but they'll eat shit to EM smart bombs, so, get a wolf, protect your pod.

Asher Elias:

Ash, Edible Douche says, Asher, can we get Vigils totally banned from the fleets?

Any other T1 electronic frigate is times more useful. That is not actually true. Like, I mean, we really haven't had the vigil problem that we had before where we had 30 of them. That's not really been a thing anymore. So we're not going to totally ban them from fleet. And vigils have a use that, a use case in several scenarios that actually, you know, makes them better than other options.

One of them being that they have three rigs. So you can run three projector rigs, and you cannot do that on the hyena, which has two rigs because it's T2. So no, they actually have uses. And the problem was when there were 30 vigils, we are not having that problem anymore.

All the vigil problems left with WEF. Oh, man. They have, they, I was going to say the mighty. I was going to say the mighty have fallen, but they never were mighty. But if you guys want to look up and see what alliance they're in now. It's oof. It's hard out here for a pimp.

https://evemaps.dotlan.net/corp/War_Eagle_Fleet/alliances

Asher explains PI stream when I I will, I will do one eventually.

Oh, Gobbins is already pinged, man he's listening right now. Awesome. Fuck you, Gobbins. You suck at this game. Ping that. All right. Seems a good point to end it on. Catch you later.

Apple Pear:

Should we share that thing?

Asher Elias:

I actually didn't read it. I don't usually read his pings.

Apple Pear:

I will share, I will share it with everybody. It's not like they make, he's making some funding. Everybody can laugh about it.

Asher Elias:

All right, guys. We'll see if Apple pastes that, but that's it for the fireside. Thank you so much for showing up. I will see you next week. You have a great one.

apple_pear-laptop: everyone **Storytime**

For anyone wondering, goons have straight up gaslight their jabronis by claiming PH deleted pings for the Ahbazon hull timer. This is completely made up. Their own members asked to see evidence of these 'spicy deleted pings' and of course their leadership has nothing to show.

For some background, goons have been making the same mistakes they did in the north, spamming pre-pings for defensive timers that their opponents made no pre-pings for, ending up in their guys overforming, getting blueballed, standing down, while our own side never pinged or formed to begin with. Each time they do that, their numbers go down a little and once their numbers went low enough, we flashformed and dunked them (last Monday): {UNSAFE LINK} hXXps://br[.]evetools[.]org/br/66271be20262b5001221cda3

This BR was really bad news for goons because we matched their pre-ping numbers with our flashform, and on top of that we put dreads on the field, while they choked and held their own caps docked. That put them in the unenviable position of having to either hype up the hull timer even harder in advance to squeeze enough numbers to avoid a repeat, or to go in with the same numbers as Monday and lose.

You can guess what happened next, goons had to madly hype this hull timer, with some people going as far as taking time off work, but that meant we could simply ignore the timer and hurt their numbers even further. After wasting their members time falsely promising a fight, their leadership came up with the lie that there was totally a bunch of pings by us that got deleted, and that is why they told everyone to show up.

As for us, we can simply ref their Fort again and continue this cycle
